Ole Miss sophomore Terence Davis has earned SEC Player of the Week honors as announced by the league office Monday. Davis, a 6-foot-4 guard from Southaven, Miss., had a phenomenal week last week and played a big part in the Rebels’ wins over Tennessee and at Missouri, averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in the victories.

In the win over the Vols, Davis scored a career-high 20 points and tallied 11 rebounds–with 13 of his 20 points coming in the second half–as the Rebels overcame a 13-point deficit against Tennessee to pick up the 80-69 victory.

Against Missouri, Davis notched his fourth double-double of the season and his second of the week with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists as Ole Miss defeated the Tigers 75-71.

Last week before Ole Miss’ trip to play Mizzou, Davis told The Rebel Walk he knows it is imperative for the Rebels to win some road games.

“It’s always big to get a road win. Fighting on the road is hard. Sometimes the atmosphere is crazy. If you want to be an NCAA tournament team, you’ve got to pull some out.”
